10,000 soldiers were deployed throughout France after a pledge made by French Prime Minister Manuel Valls on Sunday afternoon.
4,000 to 5,000 troops were deployed on the streets of Paris alone. This additional batch of troops will bolster the 7,000 soldiers that have already been deployed after the January Charlie Hebdo attacks.
The troop deployment follows the Friday attacks killing 132 people across Paris.
There are active security opertaions throughout Belgium, Greece and Germany as authorities try to hunt down those responsible for the bloody attacks last week.
