China marked the 70th Anniversary of WWII this week with an impressive show of troops including a showcase of over 1,000 foreign troops in the parade.
President Xi Jinping kicked off preceedings with a speech to waiting media flanked by Chinese leaders and foreign dignitaries including Russian leader Vladimir Putin, South Korean President Park Geun-hye and U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
The parade included 12,000 troops, 500 pieces of military hardware and 200 aircraft of various types with the aim of showing off its advances in technology as well as their military precision.
China its the best in declaring the role of the Communist Party in the efforts against Japan despite Nationalists having a bigger role minimising the role of the US, UK and other countries.
