No 7 Company

The 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards was placed in suspended animation in 1994, but the traditions and the Colours of the Battalion are carried by No 7 Company, which carries the name of the battle honour won by the 2nd Battalion in 1944.

No 7 Company is an incremental public duties company stationed in Woolwich Barracks, London. The Company has a wide range of ceremonial commitments, ranging from the provision of the Queen’s Guard to providing guards for the Queen’s Birthday Parade.

Additionally, the Company takes part in numerous military and overseas adventurous training exercises. Guardsmen are normally posted to No7 Company on passing out of training.
