Clint Eastwood directs this new film American Sniper due to be released next year.

Bradley Cooper takes up the role as a real U.S. Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle who served four tours of duty in Iraq. Due to his length of time in Iraq he quickly became one of the most lethal snipers in U.S. military history and soon made him a prime target for insurgents. The film deals with his struggle to return to normal life with his wife and children.

The film also stars Sienna Miller, Jake McDorman, Luke Grimes, Sam Jaeger, Navid Negahban, Sammy Sheik, Mido Hamada, and Keir O’Donnell. American Sniper opens in limited release on December 25th.

U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle is sent to Iraq with only one mission: to protect his brothers-in-arms. Despite the danger, as well as the toll on his family at home, Chris serves through four harrowing tours of duty in Iraq, personifying the spirit of the SEAL creed to “leave no one behind.” But upon returning to his wife, Taya Renae Kyle (Sienna Miller), and kids, Chris finds that it is the war he can’t leave behind.
